Flag of our Sovereign Order ORGANIZATION The Commandery, headed by a Knight or Dame Commander, is the basic unit of our Sovereign Order. There are four Commanderies in the Priory of the Western United States. They are: - The San Francisco Commandery. - The St. Joseph Commandery in Silicon Valley and San Jose. - The Western Military Commandery of the United States. - The Commandery of the Sierras, in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Sacramento & the Gold Country. The Priory of the Western United States is part of the Grand Priory of the Americas based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The Grand Priory, in turn, is joined by the Grand Priory of Europe to form the international Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller. The highest ranking officer within the Grand Priory of the Americas is our Grand Prior: H.M.E.H. Grand Master Bailiff David R. L. Rolfe, GCSJ, MMJJ.
